"La Collection de Paris" presented during Paris Fashion Week is rumored to be the last one for Hedi Slimane. And if it is, he is leaving in an impressive "in your face" style attitude.

The collection was presented in a couture mansion, restored under the brand's creative team supervision. The Saint Laurent runway show started oddly, without music. There was just a narrative voice that numbered the coming outfits. The collection was opened by almost all black outfit; long blazer with slim black pants, sheer froth-collared blouse.
Then the show continued with sparkly sequins, leather and snakeskin dresses, slim and sleek figures, wide belts, shorter than short bubble miniskirts, asymmetrical cuts, bright color furs and way over accented sharp shoulders.
The looks that Hedi presented were glamorous, dramatic, cocktail time set and most of all over the top. Hedi's inspiration clearly came from the late 80s, with the make up consequently being taken down to kohl-rimmed eyes and red lips.
The show perfectly followed up the first part which was presented together with the men's collection in LA couple weeks back.
The collection was an homage to Yves Saint Laurent, the concept of high fashion, 80s disco and big shoulders.
The whole show had the rock n' roll vibe. In a way the looks were something like high fashion prostitute fabulous dress up party.
Some of Laurent's closes friends like Betty Catroux, Pierre Bergé and Catherine Deneuve were in the front row.
