You do not have to eat all the healthy foods or plan a day according to a formula. First, you need to put things in your head. Know your emotions and your mood. Researches show that morning mood affects productivity throughout the day.
Studies have shown that the morning mood of employees is associated with their perception of customers and customer’s mood. Most importantly, their mood significantly influences the sale skills, how many deals they make and how well they do it.
Therefore, it is important that you feel well in the mornings, so that you can do all your obligations equally well.
1. Find your purpose
Do you know which is the best thing in the morning? Feel that you have a mission and that you can do something that is beneficial for others. As we believe that every life has its meaning, we are beginning our mission every morning.
Purpose is: "doing something bigger than myself and I am contributing to a greater good,” a motivational speaker and author of numerous books, Dan Pink, explains.
He adds that the feeling of having a purpose is one of the most important things for keeping the good mood. But, how does that feeling make us alive? Therefore, we wonder how to find the right purpose, and that it is not only in volunteering and charity work?
Maybe you cannot change your job, but you can change the way you perceive the same.
Therefore, when you look at what you are doing from the angle that you actually helping others in some way, you often find the motivation, explains Professor Dan Ariely at Duke University.
As mentioned, we are not always able to change jobs, but that's why we can change the perspective: If working in office you are not only filling out boring papers, you actually help people get health insurance that will save their lives. Focus on how you've already helped a lot of people thanks to your job.
2. Feeling of control
Want to feel good? Take control of yourself. It all sounds nice, but how to achieve it? Set goals for the whole day. This way you will feel self-confident and you will gain a sense of control over what you are doing.
This actually has nothing to do only with the feelings, the brain works better when you are calm and make decisions and setting goals when relaxed. So plan your day in the morning and try to accomplish as much as possible from those set ideas and goals.
You know the saying: Everything will be fine or it will be better? Of course, we often say that when we do not know what else we would say in a bad situation. So ask yourself - is this terrible event or situation truly unbearable? Is there anything positive about it? Somewhere there is a bright side!
Numerous researches have led to conclusions that there are benefits of being an optimist:
• Optimism is associated with better health and longer life
• Optimism and gratitude increase the sense of happiness
• Expecting others to appreciate you, makes you feel confident, which means they will appreciate you more
• The expectation of a positive outcome in contracts and other types of negotiations showed that the optimistic side really get what they want
• Optimists are more fortunate. Only positive thinking can give us more opportunities
Do not just say a positive thing to yourself in the mirror. Think about the objectives, take into account the obstacles, but the most important thing is to think of how to overcome them. The more hope we have, the more persistent we are, especially if we understand problems in advance and make a plan.
