Dead bug: don't let the name fool you—this challenging move will for sure make your sweat really counts.
This exercise can also be used as a dynamic warm-up move, meaning it's great to wake up your body and make each rigorous abs workout that follows more effective. Though it may look funny, it will help your abs be strengthen for days. Furthermore, it will enable your arms, glutes, and thighs a little bit of workout too. For more dynamic warm-up and for those who want to be challenged even more, strap on some ankle weights.
How to: Lie on the ground facing up toward ceiling. Extend your arms, directly over your shoulders, and bent the knees in 90 degrees angle over hips, keep calves parallel to floor. Having the shoulders down and feet flexed, try to engage your core and extend your right arm and left leg away from you. Tap heel to floor and return to the center. Then repeat on the opposite side. Continue alternating sides for 16 reps total or 8 each side.
Modify: Focus on your lower body, extending one leg down to floor at a time and keep your arms still. Once you feel the muscles stronger, try incorporating the upper body.
