A low-fat diet

When researchers in a study examining fat losing in women, asked the participants to switch their daily calorie intake to 1,600, high-MUFAs diet, in a month they lost a third of their belly fat. "MUFAs are satiating, so they help you eat fewer poor-quality foods," says David Katz, MD, director of the Yale Prevention Research Center.
