While looking for clear and healthy skin sometimes we put on the face what is perhaps not the best choice or what works badly for our skin.
There are always questionable products that dermatologists point out to be avoid because they can only worsen the skin condition instead of curing it.
Often people with acne or skin problems use various products to solve it. But less is sometimes more, dermatologists suggest.
Constantly applying new products can even cause irritation on the face.
Dermatologists have agreed which products are as damaging to the skin as they are expensive.
1. Home chemical peeling
Maybe sometimes you do not have much time to go to the beauty salon or think that at home you can do the same thing for less money. However, in this case, a variety of piling products are often ordered online that are not sufficiently tested or are too strong for your skin. Also, it is important to keep in mind how often treatments should be done because too much cleansing of the skin can lead to redness, scars and loss of pigmentation.
Untested products can cause allergic reactions
2. Loofah sponge
The loofah sponge comes from a kind of squid called the bean.
Dermatologists explain that they do not use this type of sponge because it is too abrasive and can very easily irritates the skin. Also, various sponges mainly accumulate bacteria which then enter the skin and can permanently damage it.
3. Hydrating agents with collagen
These products are many, so you should be careful about the composition before purchasing them.
It is believed that the collagen molecule is too large to work locally on a certain part of the face, so it makes no sense to use them because the ingredient you need does not enter the skin and you have paid a costly product.
4. Preparations for degreasing the face
The fight against acne and pimples is sometimes laborious and time-consuming, however, do not use an easier and faster way because there is a possibility that the skin well get even more destroyed.
There is no reason to use an abrasive preparations for peeling which can be irritating and cause hyperpigmentation. Mostly they are used by patients with acne, who are not aware that acne can not only be washed away from the face.
It is recommended to use a light cream that can be washed with water and then wipe gently with a towel.
5. Home microneedling devices
The treatment with microneedling still requires the knowledge of a beautician or a dermatologist. The needles that are used for cleaning the face create small holes in the skin, and by wrongly applying the treatment there is a possibility of damaging the skin barrier and causing bacteria infection.
