Have you ever noticed that your facebook friend has unfriended you on facebook? It can be an unplesent experience. Here are some reason where you have made a mistake.
According to the results from the recent research launched by the travel company Sunshine, one of the main reason people unfriend other people on the social networking site is jealousy.
After questioning more than 2000 Britons why they had removed people from the friend list on Facebook so far in 2017, most of them, 28 %, answered they had removed friends over differing political views.
The following four reasons had mainly personal note. A little less than a quarter (24%) declared that they had removed a contact because they had fallen out, 16% because they had drifted apart and 5% due to breaking up a relationship with a partner. Additionally, 10% of the respondents removed someone because they realized they didn’t actually know the person in real life.
Few years ago, Facebook brought in a option using which is not necessary to unfriend a contact, but instead you can just choose to hide their posts so you never have to see anything they are doing.
The main reason someone chose to ‘hide’ someone but not remove them was due to jealousy. As Independent released, according to the survey, 21%of the hiden posts and photos were presenting people “bragging” about their holidays. When asked why they had hidden those photos and posts, 88% simply answered that the reason was jealousy.
On the other side people that appear as victims and which contents are hidden were mostly people who shared “cryptic needy posts” (19%) and oversharers of personal information (10%).
Vanity is also among the reason people decide to get rid of someone’s company on Facebook. Almost 15% of the respondents said they had hidden someone just because they upload too many selfies.
