Are you getting ready for Halloween?
Do it yourself / /
Halloween might be three weeks away, but it is never too early to start the preparations. Check out our suggestion for creepy DIY key holder.
We were looking out for interesting Halloween DIY projects and we might just have found one on www.homedit.com. If you are fan of bizarre, unusual decoration for Halloween, this DIY project will be perfect for you. Using your kids’ old broken dolls arms, you will create something really creepy, yet really funny. And even though it might look a bit too scary, the key holder is actually pretty functional.
For this DIY project you will need:
- Wood pallet board
- doll hands
- silver paint
- rust texture finish
- wooden spindles (the number has to match the number of doll hands)
- some glue
First you have to paint the wood pallet with the silver paint to make it look like metal. Once it is completely dry, you have to add the faux rust finish. You can apply the paste with a brush. Once again, let it dry completely.
After the 'base' is done, you have to mark where the doll hands will be positioned. Make small holes for the wooden spindles. Glue the spindles.
Trim the doll hands with a razor and glue them to the wooden spindles and the base itself.
And that would be all. Take a look at the final result and let us know if you are game or not.
