Brilliant Candleholder Made of Wine Bottles and Jars
Do it yourself / /
If you have a garden, or you prefer to spend your summer evenings on the balcony, then you would need some mild lighting for this spring – summer that will not attract mosquitoes.
Candles are always ideal and romantic choice, but even better if they go along with interesting and unique candleholder.
In today’s article we will share a magnificent DIY project from empty bottles and jars!
- Rope made of wool
- Basin of water and ice
Tie a knot around the bottle with the woolen rope on the place where you would like to cut the glass. Soak the woolen rope with acetone, burn it and leave it for 2-3 minutes.
Immediately after that, put the bottle in the bowl of ice water. It is very important that the water in the basin is icy, and you have a lot of ice to instantly freeze the hot rope.
Hold it in the water for a few minutes and then slowly take it out from the water and simply pull out the part of the bottle you cut.
You can do a variation on the candleholder, as you want. Just let your imagination run wild.
For the jars variant you just need to decorate and draw something nice on the glass. Maybe glue a Tinker bell and wake up the fairytale in your neighborhood. For this decoration you can apply some sparkles and lace around the jar so the result will be magical.
