DIY artwork project
Do it yourself / /
Recently we came across Michael's blog and his amazing creative drive for DIY project. Today we bring you one of his 10-minute DIY artwork projects.
Michael is the owner of ispiredbycharm.com which is a lifestyle blog about, well anything charming and cute. He is also a fan of DIY artwork because as he says 'Not only do I love that it’s usually less expensive to make something, it’s also a great way to have a one-of-a-kind piece that you created'. And we couldn't agree more.
From his rich 'portfolio' of DIY decorating ideas, this one we liked the most. It's easy to do, fast, cheap, and the result is overwhelming.
For this DIY project you will need:
- 1-inch circle punch
- white cardstock
- frame (for 8×10″ photo)
- glue stick
- ruler and pencil (optional)
First find the right photo. And by that we mean find one that you really like. It can be magazine ad, holiday photo or just find something interesting online and print it out.
Then take the circle cutter in order to cut circles from the photo. The presented project is with 16 circles, but depending on your space and photo frame size you can use as many as you want.
Once you have cut out the circles arrange them on white cardstock. 8x10" frame was used here so the circles were arranged and then glued on a letter sized piece of white cardstock.
When the glue dries off, you are ready to frame the artwork.
