DIY project - Geometric Planters for air plants
Do it yourself / /
We all love those easy do-it-yourself projects that give a unique vibe to our home. This time we present you the geometric planters.
If you are fan of air plants and have them around your home, but want to take your enterer style to a whole new level, this is the project for you.
As you probably know by now, air plants do not require soil, so that makes them easy to care for, while still looking great. What we suggest is actually to hang them on some stylish planters.
In order to do that you will need some 1/8" diameter hollow brass rods as a 'base' for the planters and 28 gauge galvanized wide in order to complete the 'puzzle'. The good thing for this project is that it is easily adjustable, so you can make the planter as big or as small as you desire (still depending of the size of your plants).
Shown on the photos we can see variations of the planters. You can achieve that just with cutting the brass rods with different lengths.
Step by step it would go like this:
- Measure the desired length and cut the rods. For this you will need a tubing cutter (just to make it easier for you and save you some time)
- Use the wire to 'connect' the rods. While doing this bear in mind the 'visual sketch' you have in front of you and make it look similar to that.
- Next step would be to place the air plant between the rods.
- At last, you can just use canopy or wire to hang the planters from your ceiling
Also there is alway an option to make it bigger so you can have couple plants placed on one hanger.
