DIY project - Pebbles hot pads
Do it yourself / /
We all love unique crafts around the house, but when you surprise your guest with your own DIY project, you know that you have made them jealous. With this easy-to-do project get ready to expect compliments from your family, friends and relatives.
This DIY project will not require much of your time, though you will have to have some handful of pebbles pre-collected or you can just do it once you are back from your summer vacation.
For the pebbles hot pads project you will need:
- Handful of pebbles
- Color spray (optional)
- Thicker fabric or wooden pad
- Scissors or wood cutter
- Silicone glue gun
First make sure you wash the pebbles and remove the dirt and dust from them. Then dry them off. Take the fabric or wood piece that you plan to use as a base and draw the desired shape. This depends of the use of the pebbles hot pad, so be creative with round shapes for your teapot and plates or rectangle for bigger surfaces. Cut out the drawn shapes.
Then spay the pebbles in the desired color. This is in case you do not want to keep their natural look and organic color.
Then take the silicone glue gun and glue the pebbles on the base. Let it dry for 30 minutes.
Voila, you are done. Use it in front of your guests and let us know how they reacted.
