DIY project: Yarn wrapped painted candle jars
Do it yourself / /
If you are a real DIY fan than this might come across as really old news, but these candle jars are to stunning to miss. Not to mention too easy to do.
If you are that type of person that enjoys cute little DIY projects, this is the one for you. For this simple project you will need:
- Couple clean glass jars
- Yarn or other type of rope string
- White spray paint (or any color you choose)
- Piece of fabric to lay the jars
And let's go. After you have cleaned the jars, no tags, no dirt and let them dry off, place them bottoms up on the piece of fabric. Now one by one, wrap the jars with the yarn. If you are going for more subtle 'peeled off' look, than you should pay attention that the strings are a bit far apart from each other. Tie the end of the string with the beginning.
Place the jars on the covered surface and spray them with the paint spray. Make sure you cover the whole surface, so do 2-3 coats. Between each coat you should let the paint to dry off approximately 10 minutes.
Once you are done and the jars are completely dried off, just unwrap the yarn. And that's it. Place the tea light candles inside the jar and just sit and feel proud of your little project.
