Vintage look faded paint flowerpot
Do it yourself / /
If you are interested in interior design, then you know that one trend that never goes out of style is vintage, rustic details. We present you how to make a faded paint flowerpot for your home.
If you are a fan of vintage style and things, or the trend in the interior design than you are familiar that the best (and sometimes most valuable) furniture pieces for your home are the ones you find on the flea market. But if you are not fan of crowds and haggling and still want rustic look of flowerpots, here is how you can achieve it.
For this DIY project you will need:
- terracotta flowerpot
- paint and a brush
Step one is to remove the dust from your terracotta flowerpot. You can use clean, dry towel for this. Next thing is to paint it in your desired color. White looks great, especially when you remove layers of the paint and see the terracotta beneath.
Before the paint is dried off, take a napkin and wrap it around the flower pot. Make sure it sticks well to the paint, and leave it like that for a minute.
Carefully remove the napkin from the flowerpot. As you do this you will see how the paint is coming off and you will be able to see the dark orange color of the terracotta pot beneath the layer of the paint.
If you still want to add a bit more of that rustic look on your flowerpot you can try removing the paint with a bit of sandpaper.
That's it. You are done. Easy as one, two, three. Let us know how it goes.
