If you are a fan of Balmain and Olivier Rousteing, you know that you are in for some color game. Check out the latest Resort collection coming from the 'trending' fashion house.
The creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing has never been hiding that he loves colors and color blocks. In the latest collection coming from the fashion house, Resort 2017, the designer managed to outdo himself and step up his color game.
Since the fashion house was bought by Mayhoola for Investments, the Qatari fund that owns Valentino, we were expecting some changes to be made. After all the 500 million deal had some strict terms for sure. But for us, the fashion followers it meant only one thing, we got an exquisite new collection.
Given the fact that it is Resort collection, the collection has that leisure note, and it is relaxed yet carefully crafted and structured. There are lot of vintage moments, from the 70s to the 90s, but the color treatments are beyond astonishing. The knitwear is bringing all the rainbow colors there are, there are cascaded flares, sleeveless denim coats, the signature corset mini dress in vibrant colors and what not.
The collection comes with amazing editorial. The 'From Dusk Till Dawn' setting perfectly points out all the outfits, giving you an opportunity just to swipe the photos, admire the items and desire them hanging in your closet.
Being Balmain fan and the face of the brand, means that you can pull the strings and get the looks a year ahead. That's exactly what Rihanna did, rocking look 31 from the Resort 2017 collection, mere hours after it was released.
