Gucci's colorful Fall/Winter 2016/17
Fashion / /
On the first day of Milan Fashion Week 2016 we were able to see what Gucci has prepared for Fall/Winter 2016/17; a whole lot of colors, prints and patterns, different styles and shapes.
Alessandro Michele, Gucci's creative director has given us a colorful show for the next winter. The collection was quite bold; in terms of colors and shapes, prints, patterns and fabrics, which maybe led to a link of resemblance with Prada's creative direction.
The collection consisted of eclectic pieces for cocktail parties, retro styled coats, gala dresses and many street style inspired pieces.
There was combination of brocade with fur elements, gold bomber jackets with pink fur, washed out denim with satin skirts, sport socks with sandals, stripes with patterns and polka dots, various hats, silk scarfs, pearls, chains, high platform shoes, retro and modern sunglasses, watches and what not. It was a bit weird, bringing the 70s vibe back with a modern twist, but we are quite positive that the blogosphere will be more than happy with the outcome.
The collection looked fresh and vibrant, a bit geeky yet sexy. Alesandro Michele has used piles of colorful fabrics, chiffon, lot of rings, sequins, ruffles and embellishments to create this stunning collection in a very artsy way.
Take a look at the whole collection in the video below.
