The latest resort collection from Gucci was showed off with a runway show in London. Take a look what they have ready for next summer.
Alessandro Michele, Gucci's creative director has chosen one more stunning location to present the brand's latest resort collection. This time the magnificent Westminster Abbey was chosen as the runway setting for the impressive 96 piece collection show off. The London's gothic palace gave just enough dramatic vibe for the show, making the looks seem even more stunning as the models walked the improvised runway.
The collection had the expected eccentric note. For this collection the inspiration was found in punk era as well as Victorian era of British history. There were looks with Britain's flag, denim jackets with studs and spikes which suited the theme of the collection perfectly with the setting. In a place where many of the British kings and queens were crowned and buried, we saw a colorful collection of lace dressed, bows and ruffles.
The vibrancy of the pieces was on point, contrasting the dark interior of Westminster Abbey. The variety of carefully chosen rich textures and fabrics gave us the opportunity to see looks like lace dresses, pink mink coats, washed out denim jeans, prints on romantic dresses, checkered skirts and elegant coats. Of course some of the showed items were neat embroider while others were printed with 'bold' prints, like burning cats or wild English roses.
Take a look and let us know how you like it.
