Diet: Eat like an animal!
Health & Beauty / /
Did you know that some animals use three quarters of the time during which they are awake just to eat? And they do not get fat! So, wouldn't it be good for us to look up to them?
Penguins: take a break
It can happen that this birds would not eat for one month or even longer, but you do not have to do that that much. It's enough to "rest" from food for about 12 hours. Some surveys showed that people who stop eating in the early evening or in the late afternoon, on average intake 250 calories less than those who take snacks late in the night. During these short pause you make the body burns the fat deposits.
Whales: Do not be afraid of fats
When small, whales consume milk that is 10 times fatter than what is found in our cartons. Namely, a research has shown that women who choose full-fat milky products are eight times less likely to be obese, unlike women who choose "light" versions. One explanation is that when you limit your fat consumption, you consume more sugars and carbohydrates to provide your body with enough calories. Full-fat products have more calories, but the body needs more time to digest them, so for a long time we're full, scientists say.
Sheep: chew ... and chew
If each bite is chewed well (app. 40 times) before you swallow it, there is a chance to reduce the level of hunger hormone - ghrelin - and stay full for a longer period, say scientists. When you chew for a long time, you are more concentrated on food, you feel more and different tastes and textures ... In fact, this is exactly the philosophy of "mindful eating," which leads to a daily level of eating up to 400 calories less, research has shown.
Monkeys: Only fresh
Monkeys prefer local foods -- fruit and leaves from nearby trees. Studies have shown that women doing the same - eating more portions from fresh fruits and vegetables a day have a lower body mass index. To keep fruits fresh you can wash them in advance, clean, cut and store them in glass containers in the refrigerator, simply because you are more likely to reach for a pre-prepared servings.
Cows: A looot of water
Be hydrated like our large-eyed friends (who drink more than 60 liters of water a day!) and the chances that you will feel hungry are at minimum. The explanation is that the water occupies space in our stomach and we feel full. Studies have shown that consuming half a liter of water before each meal leads to a loss of 4.5 kg in 12 weeks.
