During fall and winter even small gaps in skin care can cause serious damage to your skin, so it is necessary to remember that it needs hydration and protection. What else do we need to know about skin care during cold days?
Colder weather and wind can dry out the skin, just like a sudden change in temperature, for example, when you get out of the heated home in the winter. To prevent the appearance of dry scales, skin itching and scratching, apply a moisturizing cream daily on a clean face.
To avoid scratching and reddening in this part of the year, we bring some tips to protect the skin from external influences.
Very sensitive skin, prone to cracking must always be protected with products that contain the highest protection factor. It is recommended to apply them before exposing to cold air.
Additional care for dry hands
Hands are most exposed to winter cold, so they can be the mostly affected and dry. Frequent hand washing eliminates bacteria and the causes of many infections, but also increases the drying. Carefully nourish your hands with a special glycerine cream - in the morning, before going to bed and every time you feel the hands dry during the day.
The shower can further hydrate your skin - as long as it is short lasting. Showers with hot water actually have the opposite effect , depriving the skin of natural moist and making it dry. Although hot showers are the most agreeable in the morning, especially if it is very cold outside, choose warm water - this way your body will retain its natural oils.
Change the foundation
In the winter you should not use the same foundation as in the summer days. While it is recommended to use foundation that reduce the moist and oils from the skin, in winter days it is good to use foundation that additionally moisturizes our face.
Every night before bedtime, make sure you remove the make-up and all the dirt using cleansing milk and toning milk. Many women make a mistake and skip the toner, but it is necessary. It will also cleanse the skin, remove excess milk and close the pores, thus preventing the formation of pimples and redness.
Do not forget your lips
Unfortunately, flaccid lips are common in winter. Avoid this problem by regularly applying a protective balm to them. Once a week you could make a home-made lip peeling and here is how to properly do it.
