Almond milk and almonds in general are very healthy and beneficial foods that people should consume on daily basis. It does not contain cholesterol and it is rich with vitamins as well which makes it great candidate for lactose-intolerant and people that want to avoid dairy products.

The needed ingredients for the preparation of the almond milk are as follows:
- Blender / juicer
- Cup of raw almonds
- 3-4 glasses of water
Soak the almonds in a water overnight. Spill the water in the morning. In a bowl of almonds pour 3 or 4 cups of clean (preferably bottled or filtered) water. Blend the whole mixture for 2 or 2 minutes. Drain the milk through a strainer and pour it into a glass bottle. The shelf life of the mixture stored in the fridge is 2 to 3 days. Feel free to sweeten the milk with a little bit of honey, cinnamon, cocoa or vanilla. It is just a matter of taste.
The pulp, which had remained after the draining, can still be used and with it you can prepare marzipan cake, crackers or add it to your oatmeal.
Also, if you add a little cream and honey form the pulp you can make an excellent moisturizing facial mask. On a clean skin, apply it to your face for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with water or wipe it with a napkin. Your skin will thank you.
So as you can see, the benefits of almond milk are invaluable, because it contains a lot of nutrients, which are essential for maintaining the health and vitality of the body.
