All Saints give us One Strike
Music Reviews / /
The British girl group All Saints are back. As a blast from the past, the Brit Awarded group comes back to life with the release of the single "One Strike" and an album announcement.
The girl pop group that once sang "Pure shores", "Never ever" and "Rock Steady", landed 5 number 1 UK Singles, sold millions albums worldwide, is back to the music scene. We have been teased for almost 2 years now; while the group toured with Backstreet Boys and had greatest hits compilation out, but now they are here with some new music.
"And with one strike, my world lights up in a fire / Call it a sign / Don’t need hindsight / I’ll make my emotions clear and then disappear," is what they (and most likely everyone will be) singing in couple days. "One Strike" was written by All Saint's member Shaznay Lewis and produced by Hutch. The song has the girls signature sound, '90s R&B, soothing vocals combined with modern synth-pop production. It will definitely make you feel nostalgic, make you find their old albums and play them on repeat, remembering your high school days.
The girls gave exclusive interview to i-D; where Shaznay explains what "One Strike" is about. "The phrase 'one strike' is about how your life can just change in one instant. You can be walking down the road, you've just left your family at home and everything's hunky dory, then when you go back home they're gone. On one side of the door your life's amazing, on the other side it changes just like that."
"One Strike" will be the leading single from their new album "Red Flag" coming out April 8th.
