Is Tove Lo a cool girl?
Music Reviews / /
The Swedish pop star gets ready to release her second album and we get to hear the leading single 'Cool girl'. Check out our review.
After the huge worldwide success of her debut album 'Queen of the clouds' and couple of guest features on Top 40 singles (Nick Jonas's sexy-as-hell Close and Years & Years's re-work of Desire), Tove Lo is ready for a new album era. The successor of her debut album is titled 'Lady Wood' and it is announced with a brand new single 'Cool girl'.
The song was written by Tove Lo herself with the help of Ludvig Soderberg and Jakob Jerlstrom. Genre wise it is electropop ballad (and we have expected nothing less). It has that dreamy vibe and sounds like a perfect soundtrack for your ‘waiting for the sunrise’ moments on the beach. It has interesting beat line and we can easily see it becoming the world's best DJs favorite new track. Lyric wise it is about keeping things cool and 'not putting a label on it'.
I'm a, I'm a, I'm a cool girl, I'm a, I'm a cool girl
Ice cold, I roll my eyes at you, boy
I'm a cool girl, I'm a, I'm a cool girl
Ice cold, I roll my eyes at you, boy…"
The song will have a proper music video supporting the promotion, and it has been already in post-production. In the meantime enjoy the audio and let us know what you think.
