The actress turned singer, Jana Kramer releases one more single from her second album 'Thirty one'. Check out our review.
You might know her as a country singer, or you might remember her as Alex, the troubled actress character from the popular TV show One Tree Hill. Jana Kramer has switched from acting to singing, and at the moment she keeps promoting her 2015 album 'Thirty one'.
The latest single taken off the Top 10 record is 'Circles'. Written by Alyssa Bonagura, Brandon Hood and produced by Jeffrey Steele, it is a country pop ballad. Focusing on Jana's soothing vocals, the production seems to be pretty 'simple', mid-tempo paced, with some strong, ‘dramatic’ powerhouse moments. Lyrically it is a song about a romantic relationship going back and forth, before running around in circles.
Every crooked little lie,
bended, connected... circles.
Every star up in the sky,
every hello and goodbye,
every moment by your side,
is the meaning of my life
You got me spinning like a wheel,
oh how you make me feel.
It's more than gold on my finger,
it's six feet down and forever.
'Cause where I am,
is where you begin.
You picked up the pieces,
and put me together.
You're the only part of me unbroken,
and I'm going... in circles...
Jana premiered a music video for the single. Directed by Sean Hagwell, it fits the concept of the song itself, running in circles. Taking some time to capture Jana performing the song from every possible angle, in a dark studio, the visual is minimalistic, and lets the song 'breathe' for itself. We are not sure if a bit of acting would have helped out to capture the drama, but anyway it looks decent, simple and cool.
