Olly Murs doesn't want to grow up
Music Reviews / /
The charming UK singer and TV personality is back with a new single. Check out our review of 'Grow up'.
Olly Murs gets ready to release his fifth album '24HRS'. Announcing it with an amazing single 'You don't know love', Olly made us enjoy the summer like we should. Now, the time has come for a second single'. 'Grow up' was written by Olly himself, with the help of Wayne hector, Camille Purcell and Stephen Robson, the same team that delivered the lead single.
The new single is about being immature (or at least seen as that) and how it can reflect on a romantic relationship. Inspired by his heartbreak, Olly channels his emotions in the up-tempo song.
Now you said some stuff that you can't take back
How did you think that I would react?
Cause you're, you must be out of your mind, no
How did we go straight from love to hate?
Now it's so deep that we can't be mates
I said, oh, we should give it some time
Someday I hope we can fix it, 'cause I ain't too proud to try
Say hi to your friends, and if they ever ask you why
We don't talk
Know you gotta grow up
Ain't you sick of being immature?
Talkin' loud 'cause you insecure
You always turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, c'mon
Why you always gotta show off?
You're so offended, I already know
But when you hear this on the radio
You're gonna turn it up, turn it up, turn it up..."
'Grow up' is getting ready to hit the charts this week, so Olly's team premiered the official music video for it. Directed by Jim Canty, the video is basically Olly being surrounded by 'grown up' kids on a photo shoot look-a-like set. Olly pretty dash lately, and when on top of that you add pieces from Neil Barret's collections, cute kids and chilled out vibe, the result is a great music video.
Check it out and let us know what you think.
