Zayn Malik, one fifth of the world phenomenon, the boy band One Direction, is taking his solo career to a whole different level with the new song "It's you."
It has been over a year now since Zayn Malik left the fellows from One Direction in order to pursue solo carrier. And after so many speculations and debates if he made the right decision or not, we can say that Zayn is definitely chosen the right direction.
A month ago, Zayn has given us "Pillowtalk", the stunning visual to the addictive song that he chose to be the leading single of his first solo album "Mind of mine". The video of the song featured the hot uprising model Gigi Hadid and the song reached number one on UK Top 40 and Billboard Hot 100 in the same week. It was a record that One Direction were not able to pull of.
Last week Zayn debuted his new song "It's you" with a live performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The emotional ballad has slow building pace with accompanying lyrics that talk about broken heart. Yesterday Zayn published the studio version of the song of his official Vevo channel, and couple hours later the video premiered as well.
The black and white music video was directed by Ryan Hope, and features appearance of actress Nicola Peltz. The video remarkably reminds us of Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans." The storyline is Zayn breaking up his relationship with Nicola as she ends up leaving their love nest while he watches her from inside. The video will be available only through Apple Music for a limited time, before being available on Vevo and Youtube.
