Zayn Malik's Like I would
Music Reviews / /
As the release date of his debut solo album approaches, Zayn is heating up the promo campaign. This time with the release of 'Like I would.'
He started slowly and smoothly with 'Pillowtalk', then released the promo single 'It's you' with equally stunning visual (we hope the song will get the official single treatment), and now Zayn is ready to take over the clubs. 'Like I would' is up-tempo dance piece, having the Weeknd vibe and maybe reminiscent of his older work with One Direction. It is something like 'Can't feel my face' mashed up with 'I would'.
However the RnB infused pop song has the potential to be your next dance anthem. It is catchy, cheerful, and of course you have Zayn's soothing vocal on it. The song starts slowly, but rapidly turns into dance number with tropical flavor. Lyrically it is again love inspired, but this time Zayn sings to his ex's new boyfriend saying that he will never be as good as him.
It's probably gonna sound wrong
Promise it won't last long
If we can never go back
Thought you'd like to know that
Heeee, won't touch you like I do
Heeee, won't love you like I would
He don't know your body
He don't do you right
He won't love you like I would
Love you like I would..."
Yesterday Zayn announced that the song will serve as the second official single of the debut album via his Twitter account.

Exactly a year after leaving One Direction, Zayn seems more than ready to go 'ridin' solo'. His album Mind Of Mine is out on March 25.
Take a listen of the song and let us know what you think.
